Hi there, This webinar host role immediately stood out to me because it focuses on something I genuinely enjoy—getting students actively thinking, speaking, and engaging rather than passively learning. I’m a native English speaker from the UK with a 200-hour TESOL certification, and I’ve taught both adults and teenagers online. In particular, I’ve worked with high school students preparing for IELTS speaking, where sessions were built around discussion, critical thinking, and expressing ideas clearly rather than memorisation. My teaching style is highly interactive and student-led. I regularly use prompts, scenario-based questions, and structured discussions to get students thinking independently and sharing their perspectives. I have also based classes around realia (so news articles, videos, even Tiktok videos!) to ensure materials are genuinely interesting to students. I’m very comfortable using Zoom and similar platforms, and a rehearsal sounds great. Ideally, I'd love access to the materials and platform in advance just so I can have a play around and ensure I know how it all works - there's nothing worse than a lesson full of technical glitches! I would not be available to start actual webinars for the next 2 weeks (I just wanted to apply now as the role sounds ideal!), but I have full flexibility from then on.
