I am looking to build web 2.0/peer to peer fundraising application for the non profit industry. Here is an existing service offering on market as an example: [login to view URL] Attached you find a high level MRD/PRD draft summary that I have been working on. This is in draft format such that some requirements would be added and others taken away before we kick off this process but this will give you the general gist of what the product is that I trying to design. Initially I am looking for someone that help can develop a sitemap organizing the content, features, user scenarios and work flow for the array of utilities that the application will have. This output of this work will be used to create a detailed PRD. ## Deliverables Peer to Peer Pledged Fundraising Non Profit Organizations seek to empower their constituents to work for them, taking actions on their behalf, requesting a donation, or educating a person who's unfamiliar with their mission. By mobilizing their support base via active constituents such as corporations, schools and individuals that want pledge to raise money via a marathon race, or memorial campaign etc etc., we hope to provide the following benefits: 1) Expand their reach -This will allow them to reach farther than they ever could with their resources alone, cultivating a wide-reaching support base by mobilizing their active constituents. This is a great way for CW to expand its brand exposure in existing and new markets 2) Fundraising ??" There is seemingly a strong demand from constituents that want pledge to raise money amongst their peer network 3) Gaining Loyalty- Empowered constituents that have a positive experience should become more loyal constituents that will grow with their organization and help them with future efforts Here are five key elements to fostering constituent empowerment in order to insure that this program is successful: 1. Opportunities ??" They have to offer numerous and varied ways for different kinds of opportunities, ranging from personal fundraising pages for birthdays, races, local event, schools etc 2. Connection - Treat constituents as individuals ??" if they are going to work on our behalf they want to have some sort of contact and say in what kind of work they do. Empowering constituents is no “field of dreams?? effort. They need to communicate to everyone how great the opportunity is, what it means, and how easy it is to take action. 3. Encouragement ??" Education ??"Getting constituents engaged in personal efforts is only half the battle; the other half is making sure they are successful. They need to build momentum by providing encouragement and examples. They need tools that incorporate guidance and best practices or provide how-to guides in written and video formats. They need to check in periodically with our empowered constituents and ask them if they need anything. If you hear the same answer a lot, provide a public, easy solution. 4. Promotion ??" They should make sure that their audience is aware of these individual efforts. Incorporate success stories from their empowered constituents into their homepage content and your newsletter. Use social media tools to broadcast the efforts of those constituents who consent. 5. Recognition ??" Everyone likes to be recognized for their efforts. Let each empowered constituent know how much you value them and how their efforts are helping the organization's mission. Highlight the successful efforts. Create a rewards system such as providing schools with plaques etc. The following product requirements describes a toolset aimed at an online solution for constituent Fundraisers Campaigns examples of such pledges include: a memorial campaign, a corporate pledge, birthday campaign, church or school event or someone raising money through running in a marathon race. This product suite would empower Fundraisers to quickly build campaign-specific online donation forms and easily modify them for different types of fundraising campaigns. Fundraisers would send donation appeals via email to their networks. They are given a variety of tools that are designed to maximize their fundraising revenue by increasing both the number of Fundraisers fundraising and their fundraising effectiveness. Here is the core functionality ??" each one of these areas of functionality would require a much more in-depth specification. Administrative Set Up specifications: • User should be able to Enter registration information such as participant name, email address, mailing address etc… • charity: water should be able to add requested or required information fields and custom questions to Fundraiser’s personal web pages, view responses to these questions in registration reports and, optionally, save them to the constituent’s record. • User should be able to set a goal, such as a full well vs. a half well, use a goal suggested by c:w, or create their own. • Users should be required to set a time limit on their fundraising effort. • User should have the option to increase/change their fundraising goal at a later date. • During the signup process, the user can agree to make up the difference if they do not reach their fundraising goal. A link will be created to a page where they can login to get access to all of this • Customize default email follow-ups that are sent to Fundraisers who complete or don’t complete fundraising milestones. B) Fundraising tools: • Enable Fundraisers to easily reach out to their personal contacts using an online address book into which they can easily upload contacts from other address book applications ??" such as Google Mail, Yahoo Mail, Microsoft Hotmail, Outlook or Outlook Express, AOL and others ??" or manually enter the email addresses of their contacts. • Allow Fundraisers to see an online history from previous pledges so they can determine who supported them in the past, and tailor email communications accordingly. • Provide pre-written, email message templates containing suggested text that Fundraisers can use to communicate with potential donors. • Allow Fundraisers to save the emails that they compose as reusable message templates. • Provide an automatic link in all emails to the participant’s personal fundraising page. • Optional feature: Give Fundraisers email tracking reports so they can monitor, by recipient, email opens, click-throughs and other metrics to see how their email messages are performing. • Allow Fundraisers to promote viral fundraising efforts by sending automatic “forward to your friends?? emails upon new participant registration. Customize the sender’s name, reply-to address, subject and message. • C) Progress and follow-up tools: • Create wiki or forum where Fundraisers can talk about tips and techniques they used to raise money • optional feature: (Let Fundraisers record gifts they receive offline in the form of checks, cash and pledges, as well as process gifts with credit cards to get the funds to your organization faster.) • Provide graphical and tabular reports that show Fundraisers both individual and aggregate fundraising results. • Enable Fundraisers to easily identify and perform follow-up tasks, such as sending reminders to potential donors and personal thank-you emails to those who have donated. • Show dynamic list of top 10 fundraisers in the user profile, with a “thank donor?? link, which allows user to quickly email a thank you note.
