Are the EC2 servers mostly Ubuntu or Amazon Linux? Terraform already applying from GitLab CI, or manually now? Ansible inventory static file or AWS dynamic now? I’ve done similar automation work before. Hi, this is Ambar Shome, I work independently but also run Shome & Associates for larger projects. I can help in a practical way during your working hours. Join on screen-share, fix issues with you, explain while doing it, then leave clean code behind. I work daily with AWS + Linux + Terraform + Ansible, so the usual problems here are familiar. Broken IAM access, SG rules too open, RDS params not applying, S3 lifecycle not triggering, Terraform state conflicts, Ansible playbooks failing on second run. Normal stuff. What I’d do first is review current repo + pipeline, then tidy the parts causing repeat issues. Use remote Terraform state with locking if missing, add `fmt/validate/plan` in GitLab, clean variables, remove duplicated HCL, keep modules simple. For Ansible I’d sort inventory by env, move secrets to Vault, add tags for partial runs, make roles re-runnable, and add syntax checks in CI. Small changes, useful changes. Linux side I can handle logs, services, package issues, disk space, permissions, cron jobs, SSL renewals, backups. No problem. I also leave short notes in repo comments so you can repeat the change yourself later. That matters.
