About Us : We are an emerging digital studio operating at the intersection of high-end architectural visualization and cinematic automotive media, specifically targeting premium projects. We design hyper realistic, spatial environments. We are looking for a hybrid WebGL Developer and 3D Technical Artist to partner with us in turning our high-fidelity architectural models into fluid, award-winning browser experiences. The Role : We do not need you to design or conceptualize the 3D [login to view URL] handle the architectural modeling, high-poly detailing, lighting direction, and art direction in-house. We will be providing you with highly detailed, native models directly from 3ds Max and Blender. We need you to take ownership of the bridge between our high-fidelity 3D files and the final interactive website. You will act as both the Technical Artist who optimizes the geometry and the WebGL Developer who writes the code to render it interactively on the web. 1. First Phase Responsibilities: 3D Optimization & Technical Art Asset Optimization: Take our detailed 3ds Max / Blender models and perform the necessary retopology to create clean, lightweight meshes. UV Unwrapping & Packing: Efficiently unwrap models for maximum texture resolution while minimizing memory load. Lighting & Texture Baking: Bake the complex global illumination, soft shadows, and ambient occlusion from our high-end lighting setups into optimized PBR texture maps directly within Blender (Cycles) or Substance Painter. Exporting: Export final, web-ready .glb / .gltf assets using Draco compression and optimized image formats (WebP/KTX2). 2. Second Phase Responsibilities: WebGL & Front-End Development 3D Canvas Architecture: Build the interactive web environment from scratch using [login to view URL] or React Three Fiber. Custom Shaders: Write custom GLSL shaders for realistic materials (e.g., premium automotive paint, refracting glass, water). Camera & Interactivity: Program buttery-smooth camera controls, collision boundaries, and raycasting for interactive elements (e.g., clicking to change the material of a wall). Performance Tuning: Ensure the experience runs at a flawless 60fps across both desktop and mobile browsers. Skill Needed : 1. Experience on optimized 3D web assets AND custom WebGL code. 2. Deep expertise in [login to view URL] / R3F and JavaScript/TypeScript. 3. Proficiency in Blender for retopology, UVs, and baking workflows. [login to view URL] with front-end animation libraries (GSAP, Framer Motion) to blend the 3D canvas with flat 2D UI elements. Required Deliverables (Project Handoff) : As an agency, we require full ownership of the pipeline for future client updates. Upon project completion, the following must be delivered: 1. The Final Web Assets: The fully optimized, web-ready .glb or .gltf files, along with all compressed textures (e.g., WebP, KTX2) and environment maps used in the live build. 2. The 3D Source & Baking Files: The working Blender or 3ds Max files containing the retopologized low-poly meshes, the UV layouts, and the exact lighting/node setups used for texture baking. (We must be able to open this file, swap a furniture piece, and re-bake/re-export). 3. The Source Code Repository: Full transfer and ownership of the Git repository containing the uncompiled front-end source code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, [login to view URL] Three Fiber code, and custom shaders). 4. Pipeline Documentation: A brief README document explaining your specific export settings and the terminal commands required to run and deploy the web build. NOTE : The Technical Screening To ensure you have both the 3D asset pipeline and [login to view URL] skills required for this hybrid role, we require a brief, scoped technical assessment for shortlisted candidates. This test is designed to take less than an hour. We will provide a native Blender (.blend) file containing a small space with simple piece of furniture and two distinct texture maps. Your task: The 3D Pipeline: Open the .blend file, ensure the asset is optimized, and export it correctly as a web-ready .glb or .gltf file. The WebGL Pipeline: Set up a basic [login to view URL] or React Three Fiber canvas and load your exported model. The Interaction: Add standard orbit controls. Write a simple raycasting script so that when the user clicks directly on the furniture mesh, it swaps the active texture map to the alternate version. We do not need a polished UI, HTML menus, or complex baked lighting for this test. We simply need to see that you can successfully take a native Blender file, prep it for the web, and write clean interactivity code.
