Training Interface

Webbased INTERFACE and EDITOR.

The INTERFACE is where students learn by reading, watching videos and answering questions.

Student selects a lesson file, enters a registration code. First sees the table of contents for that lesson. Lessons may or may not have a time limit. Time remaining displays on the interface.

Lessons are composed of pages. Pages contain text and may contain hyperlinks. The hyperlinks can play video files or cause pictures to appear on the interface. Hyperlinks can also open new external browser windows.

Each page may contain questions. Questions may have a time limit.

Questions are either essay or multiple choice.

Students type their essay into a box. The text box has standard editing ability and a word counter.

An icon on the interface will display whether the questions are practice, test or navigation.

Navigation Multiple choice questions allow the user to choose his next page, for example choice A brings the user Page A, choice B brings him to page B. PRACTICE questions display help if the student answers incorrectly. Answers to TEST questions are recorded in a time stamped file. Students cannot change their answers. The file should be obfuscated, should not be readable or editable. Student will email this file to his teacher when done. The Table of content icon acceses the TOC for the current lesson. Completed pages will be highlighted. He may jump to any completed page by clicking. He cannot jump forward.

The EDITOR creates pages and lessons.

Lesson Editor: Edits Lesson level configurations, interface appearance, lesson time limit, lesson name and lesson registration code.

Page editor: Edits page text, sets hyperlinks, pictures, video, number and type of questions, answers, page name, time limit, etc.

TOC Editor: Edit the order of the pages in the lesson, but also must have a branching structure for navigation questions.
