The team project isw to design, at a top level, an enterprise-wide telecommunications network for the company described below:
The company is a worldwide company with offices in the US ( Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Miami), in Europe ( London, frankfurt), in Japa (Tokyo), and in South America (Rio de Janeiro). The company is engaged in the development of audio and video special effects for the entertainment and advertising industry. the main design centers are in the Los Angeles, New York, Frankfurt, Tokyo and Rio. Corporate Headquarter are in Los Angeles. The remeining office are sales offices. Considers the company to operate on a 27-7 basis, since it is a global.
Your Task is to design a network structure, which will handle a constant stream of multimedia traffic between offices, with average file sizes being 25 MB. response time, any office to any office, for the file transfers of this size file must be no more than 5 secods. In the design, centers, multimedia (audio and video) files are the general files worked on and average files sizes are 50 MB of combined data. Response time between workstations for this data transfer is desired to be no more than 20 seconds. The company maintains an intranet with serversw in New York, London, and Tokyo. Every location must have internet access. Full telephone voice capability with conferencing is required, with speed dialing to any location in the company. There are eight locations and we are required to use four different topologies. In other words, use each of the four topologies twice.
Objective: Define the network in each office, and define and describe the structure of your WAN to interconnect the offices. Describe the types of equipment you will specify and explain how you will meet the performance requirements and the reliability requirements. Discuss the relevant protocol choices, both for the internal LANs and the WANs and the reasons for your choices. the design is to be a top level design. You are not expected to apply brand names, model numbers or pricing of any items in this network design.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
