I need help diagnosing a malfunction in a capacitive touch PCB with fewer than 10 components. The board exhibits unexpected behaviour when powered on. Key details: - The PCB is intended to emulate a touch interaction when placed next to a touch screen - It fails to operate as expected upon power-up. - When signal is HIGH, it is low-impedance to ground instead of high-impedance. Ideal skills and experience: - Proficiency in PCB design and troubleshooting - Experience with capacitive touch technology - Ability to diagnose and fix electronic circuit issues Please do not send me your previous experience, work or past reviews. YOU MUST respond with at least one technical question related to my task. I do this for filtering unwanted automated responses. To those who know: I am using esp64-c3 microcontroller.

Hello, I have checked your circuit schematic, the connection for the HIGH logic is correct but for low logic your circuit is not correct. The solution is simple, you should add a resistor to the control input feeding your ESP32 GPIO pin, so that when touch does not emulate signal, your GPIO stays at ground by pull down resistor. I have already check this solution is simulation and it works. Feel free to inbox me if you still have the problem.

I can quickly diagnose and fix your capacitive touch PCB issue on the ESP32-C3. The low-impedance pin behavior on power-up suggests either a hardware short or pin configuration problem. I will inspect the PCB, verify components, and provide the minimal fix to restore proper operation. Technical question: Which GPIO drives the touch pad, and have you measured its resistance to ground with the board unpowered? I can deliver results within 1–2 days with a clear solution.
