I wrote a program in VB 6.0. It worked fine, everything was fine, but the website my application communicates with requires me to change my code.
Basically I was sending get commands via the [url removed, login to view] control before. This control does only GET commands.
Now I need to change 5-6 simple functions to use the MS WINSOCK control. There is one final command I was sending in GET mode & now need to send in POST mode & INET control will not do it, so it must be converted to winsock.
All the code is commented & clear. You can see similar structure I was using was:
Data = [url removed, login to view];amp;password=PASSWORD&Submit
[url removed, login to view] Data
Now I need to have that changed to [url removed, login to view]
The major functions are to login to the site & then issue simple commands & finally checkout. I can explain more in detail.
Currently, I can compile my program & it works on all windows versions including Vista. So I don't see any other changes, just than converting all the inet1 control commands to winsock.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
