I need an optimum SQL that use the following table data (SQL Server 2000):
Hotel reservations table:
(field : type: size)
- datestart: datetime : 8
- dateend: datetime : 8
datestart = reservation first day
dateend = reservation last day
each record is ONE room occupied.
I need a stored procedure that receive two parameters:
DateFrom : String: (mm/dd/yyyy)
DaysExeptiom: Numeric, int
the lowest number of rooms used from ((DateFrom)) and ((DaysExeptiom)) days BACK
the lowest number of rooms used from January 31 and 60 days BACK (Jan 31, 2009 & December 3rd 2008)
search the day when are occupied less rooms, and return the number of rooms.
