I have a large Visual Basic/Excel and Database project that requires maintenance over a period of 3 months.
The project requires that someone is able to add to, delete, query and program the Microsoft Excel and Microsoft SQL database as needed. Some VB macros will also needed to be created. The project requires familiarity with all the Microsoft Word family of products.
I would imagine the project will take up 20 hours per week for 3 months. The project pays £1,500 per month.
The person selected for this project will be done so on the basis of their skill. To proceed further with this, we require the applicant to come up with a quick solution to the problem below. This will prove that you are able to work well with our systems.
Problem: There are 2 worksheets in Excel. Worksheet A and worksheet B. Worksheet A has a list of all customers and new customers are added to this worksheet all the time. Whereas worksheet B is a database of all customers. But all old customers that are no longer with us are deleted from Worksheet B. Please come up with a quick Macro using Visual Basic that copies lists of customers from worksheet A to worksheet B. But where there is a 0 in the field of worksheet B (where old customer details were kept - the ones that have been deleted), we require customers' details from worksheet A to be added to this available space.
The simplest and most elegant solutions to this problem will be considered for this temporary post. Thank you.
