We want a ping application for use as a database in SQL Server 2008 which consists of two tables and two stored procedures.
One of the stored procedure is a CLR written in [url removed, login to view] which takes a target name or IP and writes the results to a table with the following fields: PingID, Date, Target, IP, Padded IP, PC Name, Status, Suffix, Return, Sent, Received, Lost, Min, Max, Average.
The second table has the following fields and stores information for a range of IP addresses to ping as a job; RangeID, 1st IP, EndValue, Type, Namec, Note.
The second stored procedure takes a RangeID from the second table and pings all the IP's in the range and writes them to ping results table.
Attached is a sheet with table definitions and some old VB code samples.
