Would like to be able to convert single or multiple txt files to htm, preferably from within Frontpage 2003 using a macro.
Text files are news stories that have a headline, a "story by" line, a "date posted" line, and then the rest of the story. Each of those items has a different font styling.
I already have the html file template created.
The script needs to:
- Add header html code
- Take first line until first carriage return and put such and such tags around it
- Take next line until next carriage return and put other tags
- Take next line until next carriage return and put other tages
- Take remaining text with a certain font styling
- Add footer html code
Some of the txt files have a few blank lines before the first line of text, and may have a few blank lines between the third line and the rest of the story. The script should be able to ignore them.
The htm file should have the same filename but different extension as the txt file. Example: [url removed, login to view] should be converted and saved to 01.htm.
