Native Dutch Voice Contributors Needed – Engaging Multiple Freelancers

We are currently engaging multiple freelancers who are native Dutch speakers to participate in a short voice recording project supporting language and speech technology research. Participants will record a set of short sentences using a mobile recording application. The collected recordings will help improve speech processing systems and Text-to-Speech (TTS) models. The task is simple and typically takes 30–45 minutes to complete. A detailed participant guide and instructions will be provided after hiring. Project Purpose The recordings will be used for Text-to-Speech (TTS) research and development. The collected audio will be used strictly for technology research and system training, and will not be broadcast or used in any public or paid media. Task Overview The recording task includes two parts: Sentence Recording • Record approximately 250-300 short sentences Verification Recording • Record one short voice message for verification and quality purposes All recordings must be completed by the same participant. Participant Requirements Applicants should meet the following criteria: • Native Dutch speaker • Clear mainstream regional accent • Access to a smartphone (Android or iOS) • Ability to record in a quiet indoor environment Strong dialect accents are not suitable. Each participant may complete the task only once. Recording Guidelines To ensure high-quality audio: • Record in a quiet indoor environment with minimal background noise • Speak naturally and clearly at a moderate pace • Avoid whispering, exaggerated tone, or background conversations • Maintain a consistent distance from the microphone A detailed recording guide will be shared before recording. Estimated Time Approximately 20-25 minutes. Additional Notes • Recordings will be reviewed for quality before approval • Submissions not following guidelines may require re-recording • Each participant may submit only one recording set
