Online Marketing Plan for Youth Audience with Follow Up Work
This project is to develop an online marketing plan to launch a web application targeting high school and college students.
The plan will identify specific approaches for driving the audience to the website during the launch phase with an initial budget of a few thousand dollars.
Specifically, it will
Identify and describe using market research the proposed target audience including pertinent characteristics such as demographics, social and online behavior, etc.
Using market research, identify other websites that are popular with the intended audience, sites that are similar to this website and sites that are potential competitors to this website.
Identify and describe the messages used to communicate with the audience. The message will include language on how to describe and package the description of web site for the audience.
Identify and describe the methods used to communicate with the audience. Email, advertisements, word of mouth, partnerships, free/earned media, etc.
Identify specific channels where the communications will be used. For instance, where emails will be obtained, specific websites for advertising, media outlets to target, which websites with which to form partnerships.
Include a separate section of the plan specifically dealing with approach to marketing to the gorilla of the high school and college world, MySpace.
Identify and describe any promotional activities to generate interest.
Outline a specific timeline which describes when each activity will occur.
Outline a specific budget for all the above activities.
Identify specific ways to measure the effectiveness of all the described activities.

Acceptance of the bid and a successful completion of the marketing plan may lead to the award of the plan implementation.
