Hi. If you have KVM access to the server I'd boot with a live CD and try to analyze the partition table and try to recover the data. I'm afraid I can give you any guarantee(if someone guarantees you results, he's lying). The success really depends on what operations they did to destroy the data, what filesystems you're using and what things you've done trying to access the files.
