Having an old logo only on paper we now want this logo to be put onto our computers, our first website etc. A scanned version of the old logo is enclosed.
We assume the old colours to be changed to a more modern way. We also assume the yellow colour to be not printable in a fashionable way (yellow on white paper has a low contrast). If you additionally update the design to a design suitable for a world of class company we will give you a bonus of 25% on top of the initial agreed project fee.
Our logo may be shown in sizes from ca: 3 by 12 inches down to small icons. Used on HTML-Pages, used by software in forms or even printed on paper.
We expect the new logo to be delivered as a xcf file (Gimp-file). Out of this master the following derived files shall be worked out, described and delivered :
- gif-version in colour (to be used on webpages)
- jpeg-version in colour (low resolution to be used on screens, low resolution for pdf-documentation and high resolution for print media)
- gif-version in 8-bit greyscale in low/medium resolution (to be used on laserwriters)
- the start of the logo (the first letter) extracted and put into coloured icon-files (16x16, 24x24, 32x32 and 48x48) suitable for windows operation systems and as png-files suitable for linux operating systems.
All derived versions cannot only be copied/saved out of gimp. Some adjustments have to be made to reflect the changed resolution and/or colour model of the target files. In the icon files we suppose a fewer steps in the first letter.
After starting the project we will decide with you about the new colours and the additional letters for the logo.
If possible please give us some reference/examples of similar projects.
Feel free to ask some questions.
With best regards
