I need a databased website that enables users to pay a PayPal fee and gain access for a year to populate the webpage they create for themselves. The pages users create need to be flexible so that they can drag and drop the widgets they want in to their webpage similar to personalised Google Home Page.
So the website has a standard web address like [url removed, login to view] and each new user chooses the extension/user name they want as long as it is not already being used. Eg [url removed, login to view] or [url removed, login to view] . There needs to a list of names that new or existing users can buy for a premium price. Most users will be wanting to use their own name as the url extension for the standard price.
The User Pages will be a profile page of the person, what they have done and what they are doing. There will not be any products sold from these user profile pages.
So for example social networking widgets like Facebook Pages, Twitter, Google Maps, You Tube, Four Square, Flickr, E Blogger, Google Docs and others need to be options from a side list the user can drag in to the page to a position that suits them. There needs to be user friendly prompts for users to lead them in how to enter their user account details for each of these SNS widgets. There needs to be easy upload of header images, easy text inclusion.
The end result must be useable and professional. I do not want users to be confronted with a lot of menu options that are not relevant to users such as happens with Word Press. If a good working relationship is established then there will be ongoing work to further enhance this website over the coming years.
Applicants for this work need to be making suggestions and showing examples. I do not want applicants telling me they can build anything if I write in detail every single feature and function and how it is to be done. Applicants need to contribute some of their own set of ideas and suggestions.
1. Any applications requesting too large a sum up front will be treated as dishonest applicants.
2. Any applications that include a list of websites not relevant – eg not including user login capability will be ignored.
3. The first applicant that can demonstrate good design and capability at an acceptable price will be awarded the job.
