Improve existing website and add e-commerce platform

I currently own an American military reference website. I would like to improve the current basic free template and have a designer revamp the website to something visually pleasing but also doesn't take away from the content. Major updates Include homepage redesign, blog post design, new e-commerce section, update on all functionality,, and general upkeep with the website in the future. The website is Americanmilitariareference.com. I would like the site to look more like a blog with recent posts on the landing page. I am hoping for someone who is artistic to resign the website and create something unique which fits with the military theme.
