I'm looking for a creative and innovative web designer to help me get a website up and running. I'm also looking to work with someone who can support me into the future, as my business grows and I want to add functionality to my site.
I run a business where I help students and professionals obtain jobs in the Management Consulting industry. I teach and lecture to large groups, and also work with students on an individual basis offering resume and interview coaching services. My clients are typically the Career Management groups of large Universities (and subsequently the MBA students in the program), but I do also serve individual clients as well (usually engineering, PhD students, etc. that are not in a business program.) My goal is to expand beyond my current business model of doing "in-person" work, and offer my interview coaching services to a wider audience via the web.
I want a fresh, sharp and innovative website design that will express my professional services and experience, and also differentiate me from my competitors. Some websites I like are: [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view] All of these are companies I help my clients get jobs with.
In terms of of layout and functionality, I'd like a few things:
Sharp, professional look and feel, with an emphasis on helping visitors get to specific content with the least amount of clicks
Integrated blog, with a custom look and feel (so ideally, not just a cut and paste of a Tumblr blog, for example)
Integrated message forum for members (I would likely pay to use one of the established message forum systems, but want it customized to the look and feel of my site)
A automated scheduling / calendar system integrated with PayPal so visitors can book time with me and pay to use my coaching services, without me needing to communicate with them directly to book them into my calendar
A resource repository so I can provide easy access to materials my clients need
Live twitter feed, and perhaps some other innovative social media features I'm not aware of
This is where I want to start. Going forward, I have some ideas around offering webinars and other interactive courses.
I'm very excited and am looking forward to working with you!
