Website redesign

For your final project, you will be creating a redesign of an existing website. You will need to either find a client who has an existing website or pick an existing commercial website to redesign. After you find a client, you should interview them and find out what kind of website would help them. Once you get enough background information on the client and their needs, you will need to write up a creative brief and user profiles, describing the client, their users, their needs, and how your website will help them. Next, you will need to determine what kind of pages the website will need to have and how they will be connected to each other. The site-maps and wireframes can be illustrated with basic shapes and lines using Illustrator, Photoshop, or Pencil. Before you create your hi-fidelity designs you will need to create a style tile that illustrates the colors, typefaces, images, and other style choices for your website. For the final piece of the proposal, you will need to create hi-fidelity design comps of the website home page and a secondary page. Your responsibility is to create an original and professional design for your website using either Photoshop or Illustrator. This should be a full page design and you should take into consideration the different types of layouts that work well in commercial websites. Your design should demonstrate the foundational concepts of web design, usability, and layout. In this assignment, you will create a creative brief, user profiles, site-map, wireframes, and an interactive mockup for a client website that needs to be redesigned. If you are not able to find a client with an existing website, then you can find an existing commercial website to redesign. Along with the web site redesign proposal, you will need to create an interactive mockup of the website using Adobe XD. This should be a full page design and you should take into consideration the different types of layouts that work well in commercial websites. Your design should demonstrate the foundational concepts of web design, usability, and layout. Your design will need to be adaptive between different screen sizes and have a working navigation with at least 5 different page mockups. Minimum of 5-pages/screens for your interactive web mockups using Adobe XD for both desktop and mobile layouts of your website. The interactive mockups should include real copy, photos, and fully functional navigation in Adobe XD. You will submit your web proposal as a single-page PDF. You will need to use document editor like Microsoft Word, Apple Pages, or Adobe Indesign to assemble and create your proposal document. You will submit your interactive mockups as a ZIP file which will include your Adobe XD project file and exported web files. You will be graded on both the content and design of the proposal, comps, and interactive mockup.
