Need a linux debian file cache with remote FTP access only by my IP address. I want a careful lockdown of the ports. The 1.5 GB of files should all be served from RAM. I need instructions on how to purge the RAM when I make changes. I make changes very infrequently. My server is at Linode. You should have ready knowledge of all these technologies and can fix issues.

Hello, In case if the source server has static public ip then we can use tcpwrappers on FTP server, else port-knocking can be used, few more options are also possible. A virtual drive can be created, how much RAM you have on destination FTP server? By the way SFTP is more secure. Which ftp server is running on destination server (vsftpd, pureftp etc?).
