I want to bring my supplier feed into my website, however have been told that processing them offside first would be the best route. My friend said I should have the base class that moves through the xml block by block so you don't have to shove the entire thing into ram, then you have classes that extend it that contain functions that abstract away from the different sheets, ie getProdCode, would map up the correct value regardless of the type of sheet, then it's just a matter of adding it into the wordpress site.
The plan is for the data feeds to be pulled by url once or twice a week, to pull any of the new items in. Then the stock level to be processed twice a day to ensure that the website displays up to date and only available stock.
I have attached the two core data feeds we would be using, they must be able to deduplicate where there is overlap in brands and products by title and product ID.
I have also attached the two stock feeds that then set the stock in or out of stock based against the datafeeds. These can be pulled twice a day to ensure stock relevancy.
To start with, phasing it so datafeed1 and stockfeed1 work first and then bring in datafeed 2 and stock feed 2 would be completely fine. Obviously, both data and stock feeds are url based and not named as attached files.
Welcome any questions.
