We are currently implementing OpenERP on a company that sells a product that they also install.
This company needs a module within openERP that would allow them to handle warranties and repair contracts, most important is the fact that they require to be able to track down the serial numbers sold to a certain client and a work history regarding that certain serial number.
We realize that using the base modules this is somewhat possible, but the interface is cumbersome (a lot of switching between modules) and they do this many times a day and require a consolidated module to do this.
Module must allow:
Search customer and get serial numbers sold to that customer
Get history for that serial number
Get warranty details for that serial (expiration date)
Get contract details for that serial (expiration date)
In order to do this, some modifications are probably needed on other models, but please advice.
We are looking for someone who has worked with openERP before and can do this in a relatively short amount of time.
