Chase Gaewski is an aspiring photojournalist from the rural town of Readfield, Maine. His diverse work is both local and international, covering the scenic landscapes of Maine, to the bustling streets of Prague, Berlin, and Warsaw. Using both minimalistic and illustrative techniques, Chase's work is a combination of fine-art and commercial photography that emphasizes creativity and expression.
In the spring of 2011, The Heartwood College of Art, in association with The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, awarded Chase with two gold keys, one silver key, one honorable mention, and an American Visionary nomination for his digital photography.
Later that Spring, Chase was awarded a 2011 National Scholastic Art and Writing gold medal for his photograph of The Berlin Holocaust Memorial, and attended the 2011 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards ceremony in New York City.
Today, Chase Gaewski is a student at Syracuse University, pursuing a double major degree in Photojournalism at the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and International Relations at the College of Arts and Sciences.
