Ø I’ve been a freelance translator since 2003, but before this I worked during more than 15 years in firms using my translator and assistant skills.
Ø I translated already from about all areas of expertise, so I might say I translate generally from almost every area.
I also translated (for example) user manuals for a diversity of uses, from home appliances to medical devices / films subtitles / novels / newsletters / tidings / documents ... and so on.
Ø I have translated 4 books from English into Portuguese (3 novels and a study on chakras for alternative medicine therapy) and a novel from French into Portuguese.
Ø I made technical translations for University students, in areas such as social sciences, medicine, psychology and history, for instance.
Ø I translated several sites in the Internet, from English into Portuguese.
Ø I give English coaching of the English language to Portuguese students.
Ø I worked as assistant/secretary and translator from English, French and Spanish, doing computer data processing, Internet work and research, messages and advertising of the firm, and contacts with foreign clients, as part of the staff in a international textile import/export agency in Lisbon, during 7 years.
Ø I was a journal editor assistant at a magazine edited in Lisbon during 3 years, reviewing and editing the reports sent by the journalists, among other things.
Ø I worked at the International Services of a Bank in Lisbon, doing contacts with foreign banks and receiving transfers from abroad, during 13 years (until the bank ended).
