I'm a web developer and a musician, I'm quite proficient at and enjoy working on both areas. My experience:
WEB DEVELOPER
Freelance and self-learning web designer and developer, as a hobbist since 1998 and professionally since 2003. I embraced web standards long before it was a trend and have a permanent concern and focus on user centered sites design and how to apply technology to enhance user experience and empower them.
Specialist and in love of the basic frameworks of the web: HTML and CSS. PHP/mySQL and JavaScript/JQuery enthusiast. WordPress is my CMS of preference and I've been building sites on it for 10 years.
From 2003 to 2012 I worked remotely for an Atlanta based company called ifPeople, for whom I converted designs to website templates and skins, adopting W3C web standards and usability guidelines.
I worked from 2004 to 2022 developing a custom ERP for a client, a project that started as a web page with a catalog and grew to a full custom ERP with electronic invoicing, client management, reports, etc. The project involved PHP/mySQL and Javascript to enable the functionality of the site.
Skills: Design to code (aka PSD to HTML), HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Javascript, Wordpress. Also use Photoshop as part of the job.
MUSICIAN
My credentials as musician include studying piano several years, 3 years as a composer student at the university (though not completed; U. de Chile and U. Católica de Chile), member of several rock bands. I've been using DAWs since 2000 approx, producing music in several genres and styles. I enjoy listening and discovering new music, Bandcamp being my latest place to find new sounds.
