This Land is Your Land:Dirtbag Hippies or Patriotic Citizens
This is a grounded theory study that I did for my Communications research class. I fell in love with research over the course of the semester and found I have a real knack for it. I will be seeking academic publication for this article as I believe I have discovered some very important components to American Patriotism dwell within the lyrics of protest songs. I include it in my portfolio as an example so that I can demonstrate my skill in composing a well thought out paper, using APA style, and my passion for research.

I have been an active member of the Cedar City, Utah community for 18 years. Festival City, as it has come to be known, is home to just under 30,000 residents, and is known for its local arts and music scene. Festivals like Utah Shakespeare Festival, Groovefest American Music Festival, and the Utah Midsummer Renaissance Faire draw visitors from across the globe to our humble community. Nestled into the side of the Utah Rocky Mountain range in Beautiful Southern Utah, Cedar City has become my home despite my deep connection to my South Jersey roots.
