SolidWorks Automate Application
The client needs on this project, was to automate the process of extracting bounding boxes of all the bodies in a 3D model. The application performs the following steps: 1 - Opens the 3D model, readjust the key values according to his inputs. 2 - Opens each body and extract the X, Y and Z values, storing them into a Gridview. Then save the body as new part, for further use in the manufacturing process. 3 - Exports an Excel file with all the information needed to purchase the materials. A lot of other micro features was made, like: - A field to add more material on each axis. - Options to do not close the parts, for inspection. - Rounding the measures up for purchase standards. - Multiple statements depending on the values input.
