CNC Drill Control Module
Control module for a CNC Drill - full design (electrical schematic, PCB routing, firmware) - Logic module based on 4 AVR 8-bit cores, one for each axis and one for general control and communication, all connected on I2C bus. - Servo motor control on X and Y axis, with flexible hardware PID module, for fast response and better accuracy - Encoder feedback on X and Y axis, with reference auto-calibration in software. - Stepper motor control on Z axis. - Mini-keypad and 7-Seg display for minimal user interface and manual control of the Drill. - USB connection for automatic control from PC. - Firmware makes every core independent and self-sufficient, for better reliability and precision. - The system has 2 operation modes: automatic (controlled by PC/USB link, using Excellon drill files) and manual (controlled by a joystick interface for X/Y and auto Z, with position feedback)
