About Me

I am a Professional Software Engineer and Systems Developer. For 36 years I have designed and developed complex software and systems for my clients. I resist using the cliched and often misused term 'Full Stack Developer'. Instead I will explain what services I provide my clients as a 'Software Engineer' and 'Systems Developer' by using my current project to illustrate the wide variety of skills I offer. During the past 4 years I have designed and developed commercially marketed products for my client. This project requires a large number of different technologies and a high degree of expertise with being able to design a system at every level and perform every role directly during it's development. My system designs start right at the hardware component level, and include a highly customized operating system, heavily managed networking and communications, as well as server software, device controller services, and end-user applications and interfaces. I provide my clients with expert level skills in the following technologies: c#, .NET, ASP.NET (Framework 4.8 and Core 3.1) WCF SQL Server Internet Information Server Blazor Server & WebAssembly Entity Framework WPF, WinForms Raspberry Pi, Linux GPIO Java, Swing NGinx, Apache SQLite3, MySQL PHP, Javascript, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, Material-Kit Please see the documents I have included in the portfolio items section where I have included a general technical overview of the system, and for each element of the system I have denoted which technologies were employed so that you see visually what I mean when I use the title "Systems Designer". The term "Full Stack Developer" could apply as well, but it seems to me that many people use the term when it does not apply to their credentials and experiences. Instead of using the term, I am providing a look at my current work to get an idea of the scope of my skills. One last word from me that I feel is as important as my skills: As the client I feel you deserve to know exactly what level of dedication you will get from any expert you hire. Here's my answer: I take on very few projects, but when I do I devote myself to it at a level that results in always being able to deliver absolute success to my clients. My uncompromising standards and my intensity and passion is what my clients have told me they value the most, as much as raw expertise. This is the first time in 36 years that I have gone beyond word-of-mouth marketing. I can provide personal as well as professional references. And I can give you my personal guarantee that if I take on a project for you I will not consider it complete until you are 100% satisfied, and without a single cost-overrun. My long career was built on that value system. I look forward to helping you advance your business technology and achieve your current goal. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about my experience or what I have presented here. Regards, David
