Created to promote the Kelsey Grammar show Boss, this site aggregated tweets about political, church, education, and sports scandals. It used the Twitter streaming and search APIs to collect all tweets mentioning certain keywords, and a robust spam filtering system to only show relevant results. Users could view tweets by category, topic, or location (using a map). I wrote the entire backend, including the aggregator and an administrative panel, in Django, PostgreSQL, and Python. I provided a robust RESTful API for frontend developers and third-party advertisers to grab trending tweets and topics, and to post tweets back to twitter through the site.
