The design and building process is already an overwhelming experience in itself. Having a designer that has an over inflated ego just adds to a client's stress and anxiety. When you select me to help you with your design project you get someone that exudes a spirit of teamwork. I have been designing residential and commercial projects since 1993. In that period of time I have worked in several architectural practices. My experience includes all types of design from new construction to historical restoration. In addition to the successful design skills that I have acquired I have also been the previous owner of a residential and light commercial contracting company. So I have the ability of helping clients review their construction budgets and give them advice on how to maximize their construction dollars. I believe more than anything, that the way I should manage my firm is one of good old-fashioned values like respect, integrity, honesty and hard work - trusting each other and doing things on a handshake. It's about looking out for your neighbors and taking care of their needs. I believe each client has their own unique set of wants and needs so he dedicates himself in getting to know the client upfront by listening more than speaking. I learned early in my career from several talented and well-seasoned architects that I was employed with that not only do you want to have a great design, but that great design comes to life in the ability to have a good detailed set of construction drawings. Not only do I have a vast amount of design experience, but I am also seasoned writer. Prior to moving to Montgomery I wrote a successful design article for The Albany Herald called Ask the Residential Designer. This weekly column allowed people to email me design related questions and have them answered. Additionally, he often wrote articles that explained new design trends or reviewed new construction materials or products giving a honest and objective opinion. He now writes an editorial called Endcap for Masonry Design Magazine. Masonry Design Magazine is a nationally distributed trade magazine.
