Painters' Orchestra began its journey in 1968. Small steps, that culminated into what is today, associated with a constellation of artists known all over the country and beyond. A group of artists, mostly alumni of Kala Bhavan, embarked on a journey that would show the way to many artists for many more years to come. The first exhibition was held at the gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts, Calcutta, from 12th. to 18th.August.1968. The journey that began with many luminaries from the world of art continues till date. In all these years many expressions of art in many forms have been showcased for public viewing and acclaim.
