After years attempting to squeeze myself into the conventional workplace, I finally went back to grad school to get an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts — performance and decolonial studies — and came out the other side better equipped to do the work I actually do well: close, careful writing and analysis that most people rush past. That's meant editing manuscripts, dramaturgical and historical research for theatrical projects, cultural and political editorials, and content across a range of formats and clients. I've also worked as a director, actor, and voiceover artist — so I bring a performer's ear for rhythm and voice to anything I edit or write, not just an editor's eye for grammar.
