Done in Drupal multisites -- for display only, not active blog sites. The first one is the entry to my blog sites, and the rest are subdomains. Each uses a Drupal contrib theme (design) which I've extensively customized and updated the CSS. There's one code base for all 5 and each one has its own MySQL database.
