• In-house proofreader and editor for Citibank through Language Works November 2012- September 2014. Independent Contractor. Job description: The in-house linguist is responsible for all translated Internet content ensuring consistency of Citi Spanish Glossary and Style Guidelines, Legal, Compliance and Operations for all Citi cards and private label web sites. o Acts as proofreader ensuring linguistic quality o Performs small in-house translations as needed. o Processes all necessary changes to copy translated copy. o Keeps Spanish copy decks in sync with English versions including revision history o Attends project meetings as needed o Provides translation status updates to Multilingual Manager to ensure timely delivery and project prioritization. o Reviews translations after integration on the appropriate output prior release o Performs quality assurance of all translated pieces in the production servers after each release o Keeps translated assets and prepare file for record retention. o Keeps Translation Memories (TMs) updated, edits TMs and sends them to vendor accordingly o Determines whether projects might be submitted to third party vendors, and establish deadlines according to requestor’s needs o Submits files translated from vendors and edited in-house to Spanish Legal for certification before final release Some of the projects assigned while working at Citibank include the following: Citi Wallet, Dodd Frank, Digital Onboarding Engagement, Paperless Statements and E-Communications. Please note that this assignment required high communication skills which clearly indicate my perfect command on both English and Spanish. I was an active member of the GCMIO team, as part of the Creative Team within Internet and Mobile. My daily tasks involved attending virtual meetings with other team members, including copy writers, PMs, ATPMs, DMs, CMS, content developers, IT specialists, etc. I reported to the Vice-President, and we held touch point meetings on project status every day. My experience proves that I am comfortable with multitasking.
