MURREE Murree is Pakistan’s most famous mountain resort town located in Galliyat region of the Pir Panjal Range, situated 430 Km from Lahore and about 35 Km from the Capital City of Islamabad. The highest peak of this region is Miranjani, with a height of 9,710 ft, closely followed by the famous Mushkpuri top with a height of 9,452 ft. Both of these peaks are accessible by their treks through Nathia Gali and Donga Gali respectively. These are one day treks that means that you can get back before night. With Monsoon season in June and July, snow falling in January and February and evergreen tall trees planted throughout the region, it’s difficult to say which is the best time to visit. However, Murree plays host to most of the people during the Monsoon season, with the consistent light drizzle and shadowy skies, the beauty of the region reaches a new high. Murree being one of the very few tourist spots accessible in winter season, hundreds of thousands of people visit every year.
