Pegasus Satellite Television IS Manager Financial Applications 7/2003 – 11/2004 - Managed team of developers responsible for developing and maintaining applications that supported vendor payments through Ceridian and ADP, equipment subsidy programs, dealer commissions, customer commitment tracking and month-end financial reporting. - Led development efforts to consolidate disparate financial applications into one common dashboard application. Releases were focused on improving usability, timeliness and accuracy of vendor payments as well as interoperability between applications. Code was in VB .NET and SQL Server with a focus on object oriented design and reusable business classes. - Partnered with Siebel development teams to build specifications and beta versions of a screen pop application to be used with the Siebel billing system interface. Developed specifications for Siebel API to share data with internally built “Edge” systems. Pegasus Satellite Television Senior IT/IS Project Manager 1/2001 – 6/2003 - Project managed the implementation of the OTG document management system for Finance department. Identified the prospective beta groups, mapped out current and projected workflow processes and partnered with OTG and IKON to determine hardware and infrastructure needs. Project expected to save close to $100,000 a year post implementation. - Developed VB/SQLServer “screen pop” application to integrate a Nortel CTI server with corporate billing system, allowing agents to immediately view customer billing information as they received inbound calls. Managed rollout to four call centers and nine hundred users, reducing average call handle time by 20-30 seconds a call. Cost savings estimated at 7.1% per call. - Led vendor selection process and negotiations to purchase the call center recording platform NICE, saving company $89,000 in the process. Led telecom, networking and desktop support teams to implement system for seven hundred agents in three call centers. QA productivity increased 25%. - Managed IS work plan for all incoming development requests. Worked with Directors and VPs to identify key corporate initiatives and establish clear requirements documentation. Led initial beta launch in Minnesota. - Led team of project managers in the deployment of enterprise-wide WFM system from MDSI. Client-server application utilized central dispatch stations to route and process work orders for field technicians carrying wireless hand-held units. Increased work order production of technicians by close to 10%. Decreased overall routing time by 60%. - Worked with network group to implement AT&T frame relay services to support connection between WFM servers and Bellsouth. Improved redundancy and lowered costs. - Championed the development of a requirements management system that utilized a web-enabled front-end, an Oracle backend and interfaces to DOORS, a requirements baselining application. Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company - Senior Systems Engineer 7/1997– 11/1998 - Designed and developed interfaces to import corporate budget and plan data into Peoplesoft’s General Ledger module. Facilitated the prioritization of release requirements by working with cross-functional teams from product management, customer care and offer management. - Partnered with business development teams to evaluate end-to-end processes and identify areas for improvement. Areas of concern included offer value pricing, contract layout improvement, provisioning, setting up of quality metrics and handling of customer inquiries. - Proposed analyzed and developed software for daily ad-hoc reporting process, which cut production costs for VTNS Call Detail reprint process by 75%. - Analyzed technical issues and developed software to support Billing Edge project.
