DigiMapz
The project was to create a Digital Map interface to provide all possible value added applications and services. The idea was to revolutionize business services totally. I was the Project Manager, and the pilot creation and research was carried in collaboration with Wipro Technologies, the software giant, directly under the Chief Technology Officer of Wipro. The pilot was a grand success at the National Level Exhibition of Wipro, and drew attention from various wings of the company, including the ADS (Aerospace, Defense and Satellite navigation) sector. The project had to be called off because of the restrictions that Indian Government imposed upon Digital Maps, fearing the availability of sensitive information to hostile groups. The work on the project began in 2005 and had to be stopped in 2006.
