A.O.I 2008 exhibition and book image
This is a dark oil pastel piece for a personal project in 2007. It was a short wordless narrative following a man who was consumed by a perpetual hunger for people. A modern vampire, horror story. This frame was accepted by the Association of Illustrators for the 'Best of British Illustration' exhibition and book in 2008.

Oliver Butcher is an Illustration graduate. His work has been accepted by the Association of Illustrators for 2009's 'Images 33' and 2011's 'Images 35' exhibition and annual book. He has received a number of commissions during and since university including posters, exhibition pieces, book illustrations and storyboards. He grew up in Essex's county town of Chelmsford where with his brother and his dad. He takes a lot of inspiration from his home town and the people who live there. Oliver is always willing to do projects for other people and taking briefs from all over the world.
