Over the years, I have tailored the trajectory of my academics and career in the line of Operations, Projects, and Human Resource Management because of my deep interest in ensuring productivity, optimization of resources as well as coordination of projects and general administration to ensure smooth running within the organization. This is what triggered the Postgraduate program I did last year in Strategic Management at the Metropolitan School of Business and Management.
I am an Operations Enthusiast with over 3 years of experience. My knowledge of human behavior, standard operating procedures, cost, cost behaviors, quality management, customer relationship management, business planning and strategy, project execution, business development, and productivity optimization has made it easy for me to manage operational functions. My experience with the FMCG industry has exposed me to the management of over 200 employees. I was nicknamed “Executioner” because of my drive to get things done excellently and on time with the limited resources available thus saving the company time and money.
I am very well in tune with the formulation and implementation of policies and processes; systems design and organizational structure. Having an Accounting background, I have been able to work on case studies with real-life examples that have further deepened my knowledge of financial planning and budgeting.
In my university days, I was part of the team that participated in the CFO competition organized by CharterQuest across the continent then and we were the only team from Nigeria that made it to the semi-finals. I am fascinated by new challenges not because I have all the skills to surmount them but because I am certain of learning from my mistakes, referencing old examples and acquiring new skills in preparation for future challenges and tasks ahead.
Leading a team of Young Managers and Administrators has given me the opportunity to work with different kinds of people from all walks of life and also developed skills to manage difficult people. I have also helped recruit and onboard over 400 workers in the last three years. I have had to manage employees, customers, suppliers, government officials, service providers and even community representatives; gladly my people skills made it easy for me to work harmoniously with them.
I am one who is very comfortable with figures and ratios. As such, running trends on operational performance on excel has never been a challenge. I also have excellent document control skills and knowledge of database management which has helped me in keeping records of employee information as well as following up on important tasks and programs as it relates to employees. I am currently a student member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) in Nigeria. I follow instructions and I am very passionate about what I do. I work with a flexible schedule and like to meet my deadlines even if it requires some extra time.
