I have designed/built databases and document management systems for the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the U.S. Department of Justice. I built the Returnable Forms system out of frustration with the two leading electronic forms formats, HTML and PDF. With the Returnable Forms System, you can 1) Make as many electronic forms as you like 2) Distribute them to anyone with a PC running Windows 98 and above 3) Allow your users to fill out the forms and save them without charge 4) Transfer the form data into a database, and/or route the form to different users. Returnable Forms are built 1) In a 100% graphical user interface environment 2) Without writing any code 3) Ten times faster than building an HTML equivalent Returnable Forms are better than Portable Document Format forms because 1) users can save data in Returnable Forms for free 2) all Returnable Forms are also database records 3) Returnable Forms have drastically lower site license costs. One system purchase (at $1199) can supply the forms for an entire organization. Adobe and other companies want to charge per-seat licenses. 4) Adobe Acrobat forms because the manual processing of forms is costly. For example, if a) an organization has 50 forms on its website b) each form is processed an average of 150 instances per year c) the typical form requires 6 minutes of review, filing, data entry, and third-party notification d) the organizaton pays $20/hour to clerical staff for form processing That organization is spending $15,000 anually on work that the Returnable Forms system can do. Returnable Forms are better than HTML forms because 1) Returnable Forms are laid out, by default, for printing 2) Returnable Forms are much easier to create. Building a Returnable Form is no more difficult than building a PowerPoint document. Lesser skills means lower hourly labor costs. 3) Returnable Forms are ten times faster to create than HTML forms. Returnable Forms forge their own database connections. They have complete print integrity, and page-to-page transitions are pre-engineered. Less development time means lower development costs.
