Print Advertisements
The client for this job was a local skateboard and snowboard retailer, they wished to promote the business in magazines via print advertisements as well as in the local area through flyer distribution. The client approached me as I frequent the shop and have been in the skateboard and snowboard industry for a number of years both participating in the sports and working in the retail aspect of it. They requested that the advert be in keeping with the fun and often jokey nature of the staff and it's proprietor, so I took influence from early skateboard graphics and provided a caricature of the proprietor as a skeletal version of himself paying homage to the roots of skateboarding and snowboarding while maintaining appeal to the retailer's current demographic.
