Actor Customization in Unity 3D is the example of changing actor parts' meshes, while holding it's skeleton intact. It allows change parts' meshes on the fly without errors in animations synchronization, even during animation play. Also, part of the interface is made with the help of 3D objects and custom shaders. This allows creation of complex graphical effects in the interfaces and speeds up interface drawing, because standard 2D interface of Unity 3D uses too much draw calls and states changes.
