Creator and Writer of Caliber (Webcomic)
I was the creator, head writer, and art director for the webcomic Caliber. I designed the unique universe and set of characters briefly showcased. While very little of the project ended up published, many issues of this work were both drafted and completed. This project was a children's comic about unconventional superheroes whose powers compliment their biggest character flaw. For example, Tammy can transform into anything but she is painfully uncreative. Another character, James, has fire powers that depend on his ability to control his emotions, something particularly hard for him since he has diagnosed anxiety and depression. This project exemplifies my experience with character and universe design as well as my ability to convey my visions to others as I was the author but not the illustrator for this piece. I am comfortable with my genres and formats outside of children's graphic novels, but both children's literature and comics hold a special place in my heart.
