Category/state scrape
The goal was to scrape a catalogue page to gain leads in a selected category in a selected state. Keywords "Roofer contractor" in "CO" state. The result was more than 3000 leads with: name website email phone years_in_business Those are just the things I selected to extract. But the bot goes into each companies "detail page" so even more data can be selected for extraction. This was exported as csv (json and xml available too). Imported to a separate SQL database to be searchable. (can expot as *.sql file) The technologies used - Python Scrapy SQL The program can be adjusted with different keywords.
