A tab too messy hard to read. Is it possible to keep that texture but makes the words more legible?

I just want to note (this is being added to the brief as well) that there is a proposed sequel/prequel for the project. Darkblood acts as the main title, with Chronicles, in this case, being the subtitle. So the focus should be on Darkblood, which is the actual title of the series. Also, Darkblood in this case, is written as ONE word, the title should ideally work against multiple BG colors, and the font itself should be clean, simple and untextured. Font style selection, in this case, will be extremely important.
Feedback on promising submissions so far (everyone is welcome to use and apply this feedback to their own submissions! In fact, we encourage it);

We are not opposed to the idea (interesting perspective), however, I would prefer Darkblood to be ONE word.
ENTRY #18
This has a lot of potential, we like the second and third (black and white BG) - we would ideally like a logo that could work with different background colors, and this seems to fit that brief. Suggestions are to make the Chronicles word smaller, and to make ALL the letters in Darkblood be the same size (as opposed to just the D and B being larger font). Also, we prefer the clean simple font without texture applied to it.
