Thanks guys - I'm now holding a poll between the top 8 that I picked. I'm looking for feedback and comments etc from those who worked on the film - and friends and the public. I'll hold this poll open for two days and then decide based on the feedback I get.

Thanks for all the great designs everyone- not long until I have to pick a winner - which will be hard as there's 3 or 4 stand out designs, all by a different designer. The winning design will have to be provided as a PSD file too.

I think u should seal the contest. It takes huge time to make a cover. So it's easy to get a quick idea for the later contestants.

I've uploaded the mango symbol for my company - I don't have a bigger one than this - so feel free to experiment with it - and try your own or try and enlarge it

Thanks fuad7sarwar for numbers 1 and 2. I don't feel they're what I'm looking for though. I'll give some feedback here to help guide everyone.

I think the black background is too strong for a comedy film - white would probably be better.

I think we need to have the main man and woman on the front cover - photos A and B maybe even C as well. The film is mainly about the man in B, and then the woman in A.

I think red is too strong and serious as well - I think we need lighter colours that are more fun.

I don't like the names of the cast arcing around like they do on the front cover.

Can we make the back look more professional - try different fonts - are there logos you can use for the PAL and region setting ? In fact all of that could probably appear in a table, with their logos as well.

I want the cover and subsequent poster to look really professional as if it were designed by a Hollywood studio.

  Exactly that i'm looking for. When I started work I got only image a. So it was tough to put her in a white background. Now everything is perfect. Your font idea is good, but I like to try some others. Also, if u provide me a logo of your production, that'll be great.

Another point to the one I just made: the credits on the back which read Mango-a-GoGo Productions Presents It's Brisbane Tonight - Wow! Written by ...etc - needs to be centred and with different size or type fonts for the jobs and the corresponding names -- just as you would see on a Hollywood dvd.

I'm not saying copy these covers but look at some of the stylings of them and how professional and big budget they look:

  hello the EPS pics you provided are of no use, rather, its better to have JPGs from picassa, cause the Pics uploaded by you in picassa are 96DPI and the EPS pics are 72DPI and moreover the eps files are very large around 8 MB each... so hope this would be help for fellow competitors...

  I'll have a think about that - I don't have much money so was wanting to just save the money actually. I'll see what the other respondents think and make a decision then. I certainly understand the reasoning for it, and it's probably the right thing to do - I'll just see how other people feel too, thanks
