The brief is to design a unique restaurant menu, an A5 booklet.

We were thinking to make a watercolour with maybe some calligraphy writing design for our menu. The menu needs to have a handmade look and feel. As an example of what we really like are these pictures of watercolour ombre menus: you can play with different colour palettes and drawing styles.
For a layout: we will be making an A5 booklet style menu (Portrait orientation) similar to our example with Holly Burger menu: a front page to be made from a watercolour background or a drawing and our logo to be in the middle of the page (either straight on the watercolour background or placed on a white circle/square etc on top of the watercolour background). For all the following pages (the middle ones) we want to place a white rectangle on top of our watercolour background and to type in the text. For the back cover page we will be using a watercolour background with all the info details: website, phone number and address..

What we want:

Our main concern is a beautiful handmade watercolour design for the menu. Please, try to be as creative as possible!
Possible styles:
- watercolour ombre (pick some trendy and stylish colour combinations - see provided examples)
- use of handwriting, calligraphy etc. - you can handwrite our logo on a front page.
- possibly ornaments, floral images, landscapes or Italian lifestyle inspired watercolour drawings - but don't overdo it! The menu needs to look very classy, simple and trendy.

What we don't want:

- Photoshop or Illustrator designed menus looking like watercolour - we want real drawings.
- Images of food on a menu.
- Something generic or looking like many others.

We are an Italian takeaway and espresso bar in the UK making best pizzas in the city. We are a trendy and stylish place for people who's looking for best quality, friendly atmosphere and something new to try.

  Would you be able to hand draw it to make it look more authentic but to keep the colour palette exactly the same? After that - no more drawings :) i will just pick the most suitable one.
