     sealed means the people who enter the contest can't see each other's designs. Its a way to make sure that everyone stays original and there arent copies. :-)

  If you don't provide any feedback at all, then it's like shooting in the dark. Neither you nor us are going nowhere. You should get more involved in your own contest. If we stick to the original font then the logo is 90% done and pretty much everyone is going to add a circle, oval and that's all. Besides, your brief says this is an update not a complete redesign from zero so basically everyone is going to submit similar sketches. Personally, I don't really like the idea about adding a pot and leaves because it makes me think your restaurant is a plant nursery.

  Hi there! I think we are all at a loss as to what you're looking for exactly. As there is only 2 and a bit days and entries with only 1 star rating, would it be possible to clarify anything more specific to what you are looking for? I'd hate for you to not come out with a design.

  We want to update the restaurant logo, but keep the original 60’s / 70’s feel. You can google Dick Church’s Costa Mesa to get photos of the inside and the vibe. Orange booths, wood paneling on the walls. We need a logo that will work on a large sign, menus, coffee mugs, staff shirts. I want the final logo in Photoshop, illustrator, and jpeg files, in color and b/w.
  
  Update : Stick to the original font / letters. Use "Family Restaurant" and "Costa Mesa Since 1947" in the logo. Don't use knives, forks, spoons or stars in the logo. Remember - We want to keep a 1960's / 1970's Americana / Diner vibe.
  
  Update 2 : If you incorporate the pot and leaves, they should go under Dick Church's. The concept is that the letters in Dick Church's are the leaves of the tree. However, we are open to designs that do not use the pot and leaves at all. We like the colors orange and green. Some of the designs that use brown are also nice. Of course we will also need b/w versions. Thank you everyone.
